It works!
At different levels
Year 9 is divided into levels in the following subjects: English, German and Math. In this way we create the best options for learning and motivation for each student. By joining our year 9 your skills can take a huge step forward.
Our experience with different levels is clear and unambiguous, it works!
The teaching is flexible, and the teachers are able to motivate and challenge the students at their level. In this way we can plan our teaching lessons, so each student will be challenged regardless of level. As a student you will experience the advantages by levels and will be ready for the final exams of year 9.
Teamwork
Our teachers are working in teams in year 9. The cooperation across subjects strengthens the students’ abilities to see the connection between subjects.
Furthermore, we have experienced that the motivation for learning increases when the students see the connection from one subject to another. At the same time the teamwork also gives the teachers a chance of adapting the level for the students who require more attention.
Test and exams
The profile of year 9 at Dejbjerglund Efterskole is strong and professional, and it will prepare the students to pass the national Danish final exams, which are compulsory at Dejbjerglund Efterskole.
During the school year we are testing the students, so we continuously can adapt the teaching to the level of each student. In this way we can embrace all students.
Professional and study guidance
All students are offered two conversations during the year to be clarified according to career choice and study. We prepare the students to make an independent and realistic choice. Furthermore, we prioritize introducing the students to their options after year 9 and year 10 and to explain the educational system and structure.
