Year 9
At different levels – and it works!
Year 9 is divided into levels. In this way we create the best options for learning and motivation for each student. By joining our year 9 your skills can take a huge step forward.
Our experience with different levels is clear and unambiguous, it works!
The teaching is flexible, and the teachers are able of motivating and challenging the students at their level. In this way we can plan our teaching lessons, so each student will be challenged regardless of level. As a student you will experience the advantages by levels and will be ready for the final exams of year 9.
Teamwork
Our teachers are working in teams in year 9. The cooperation across subjects strengthens the students’ abilities to see the connection between subjects. Furthermore, we have experienced that the motivation for learning increases when the students see the connection from one subject to another. At the same time the teamwork also gives the teachers a chance of adapting the level for the students who require more attention.

- Danish
- Math at different levels
- English at different levels
- German at different levels
- Science
- Biology
- Geography
- History
- Social studies
- PE – basic training
- Gymnastics
- Assembly with storytelling among others
- Singing
- Traditionel Danish folk dance
Test and Exams in year 9
The profile of year 9 at Dejbjerglund Efterskole is strong and professional, and it will prepare the students to pass the national Danish final exams, which are compulsory at Dejbjerglund Efterskole. During the school year we are testing the students, so we continuously can adapt the teaching to the level of each student. In this way we can embrace all students.
The subject religion is no longer a part of the scheduled teaching, but is a part of our assembly, thus it’s not a subject for final exams.
Important information
In Denmark the deadline for applying for year 10 or a further education is the 1. March.
You need to have a plan for your education, and this plan is a part of your application. You shall fill it out at: minuddannelse.net

Professional and study guidance
All students are offered two conversations during the year to be clarified according to carrier choice and study. We prepare the students to take an independent and realistic choice. Furthermore, we prioritize to introduce the students to their options after year 9 and year 10 and to explain the educations system and structure.
During autumn we have an evening with focus on education. We invite former students to come and tell us about their educational choices.
In January we have a similar evening for students and their parents. This time we invite different schools to present their school and talk about their options.
